'mac - os catalina - Failed to save 'app.component.html': Insufficient permissions. Select 'Retry as Sudo' to retry as superuser

I am unable to save files in VSC

I have tried below -

$ sudo chmod -R </Users/jameselcome/Documents/AStudy/my-first-app/my-first-app/src/app>

folder is set to read and write access

Installed VSC from downloads folder

Tried as sudo too

Any advice greatly appreciated
