'HTTP Proxy in Jakarta Mail
The official Jakarta Mail FAQ states that there are properties such as "mail.protocol.proxy.port" for "accessing mail servers through a web proxy server". The word "web" and e.g. this post suggest that the proxy server is reachable via HTTP/HTTPS. What does a web proxy for mail servers mean? Is there a standard or something to translate http calls into imap, pop3 and smtp calls?
