'HasVirtualAuthenticator not found
I am getting the following error when I try to run a TestNg test using a testng xml.
java: com.sun.tools.javac.code.Symbol$CompletionFailure: class file for org.openqa.selenium.virtualauthenticator.HasVirtualAuthenticator not found
This is my testng.xml:
<suite name="testng">
<parameter name="apkPath"
value="Test"/>
<test name="Placeholder">
<classes>
<class name="Placeholder"></class>
</classes>
</test>
</suite>
It seems to be related to Selenium since it stops occurring if I remove the selenium-java dependency from my pom.xml.
My pom.xml is very simple:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<project xmlns="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xsi:schemaLocation="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0 http://maven.apache.org/xsd/maven-4.0.0.xsd">
<modelVersion>4.0.0</modelVersion>
<groupId>org.example</groupId>
<artifactId>CoreAppsFramework</artifactId>
<version>1.0-SNAPSHOT</version>
<properties>
<maven.compiler.source>8</maven.compiler.source>
<maven.compiler.target>8</maven.compiler.target>
</properties>
<dependencies>
<!-- https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/io.appium/java-client -->
<dependency>
<groupId>io.appium</groupId>
<artifactId>java-client</artifactId>
<version>7.5.1</version>
</dependency>
<!-- https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/org.seleniumhq.selenium/selenium-java -->
<dependency>
<groupId>org.seleniumhq.selenium</groupId>
<artifactId>selenium-java</artifactId>
<version>4.1.2</version>
</dependency>
<!-- https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/org.hamcrest/hamcrest-core -->
<dependency>
<groupId>org.hamcrest</groupId>
<artifactId>hamcrest-core</artifactId>
<version>2.2</version>
<scope>test</scope>
</dependency>
<!-- https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/org.apache.commons/commons-lang3 -->
<dependency>
<groupId>org.apache.commons</groupId>
<artifactId>commons-lang3</artifactId>
<version>3.12.0</version>
</dependency>
<!-- https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/org.testng/testng -->
<dependency>
<groupId>org.testng</groupId>
<artifactId>testng</artifactId>
<version>7.5</version>
<scope>test</scope>
</dependency>
</dependencies>
</project>
At this stage I am literally just trying to run a test that does a System.out.println().
I can't seem to find anything that can help me solve this. I also tried using different versions of selenium-java from the maven repo, but it happens every time.
