'Azure Advisor Recommendations and Application
We have an application called Deltek Vantage point that is on Azure. We would like to enable FTPS and SSL as per the recommendations by Azure Advisor. Unfotunately, I do not know enough about the app what it would break if we turn this ON based on Azure recommendations. DELTEK guys are going to charge us an arm and a leg to find out what would break. So, we want to be careful and make sure that it does not break anything. How does turning this on Azure would help the application if they application is already being accessed through https: and also Secure FTP (If there is one).
All applications now published in web servers are going to be https with SSL enabled and (FTP could be not secure - If there is an FTP) but why would Azure also ask us to turn ON this feature and how does that help just because the server is sitting in Azure.
