Visual Studio deploy cube fails - no error message

Question

We have an old Cube system running for the last years, it just worked and we didn't do anything.

Now, trying to make some small changes, on deployment in Visual Studio it shows "deployment failed" and error - system failure. No other information at all.

Any idea if there is a log somewhere that might give more info? Or what might cause that problem?
