'sprite.svg not displaying icons when deployed to Heroku but working locally (Django, Heroku, SVG)

I am coding a landing page using Django, html, CSS. I have a sprite.svg file containing different icons(svg drawings which can be accessed using "" for instance). The sprite.svg file is located in my static file. When I launch the page on my local server the icons appear with no problem. When I deploy to heroku the icons are not showing. Could you please help me with this problem?
