'roblox studio: TextBox.Text returns ""

I was making custom chat system and I faced this "bug". just textbox returns "", not nil. and there is no any error. even without

string.len(script.Parent.Parent.message.Text) > 0

"if" part.

any ideas how to fix it?

Near the end of the code, you write

script.Parent.Parent.message.Text = ""

Would this not be the cause?

maybe you can do tostring(msg)? this prob wont work

tostring("i like beans")
