R latex2exp: large brackets and some latex symbols displayed as empty squares on M1 MBP

Question

I have the following the issues with the latex2exp package in R. Thanks in advance for any helpful discussion.

The issue is that large brackets and some latex symbols (for examples \nabla, \cdot) are displayed as empty squares. Examples are attached as following.

latex2exp::latex2exp_examples(cex=0.9)

I followed Hernan's answer to a related question and fixed the issues with greek letters. What remain problematic are large brackets and /nabla etc. I couldn't found what kind of ttf files I need to get.
