'MSI installer of Maven including a tested JDK for Windows? [closed]
After going through an onboarding exercise where we had to get rookie developers up and running, we found that it was a major impediment that there was not a "Install this MSI and be done" release of Maven for x64 Windows, similar to first IntelliJ and apparently now Eclipse which encloses a JVM to run out of the box. Microsoft even has a MSI distribution of their JDK build.
In other words a Maven distribution which includes a tested long term JDK and adds the binaries to the PATH. Does this exist or has the Maven developers decided against opening this particular box of worms?
