'Mandrill removing src attribute from img tag
I am using Mandrill to send emails to users. But for some reason,Mandrill chips off the src attribute from the img tag and only appends the style attribute. I am using inline images with base-64 encoding.
When I manually paste the same src to the email, the image becomes visible. Also I consoled the attributes Mandrill was passing forward to the email, and there too I can see the src attribute attached.
And the content I see on console is as below:
"<p><img src=\"data:image/jpeg;base64,/9j/4AAQSkZJRgABAQAAAQABAAD/4gIoSUNDX1BST0ZJTEUAAQEAAAIYAAAAAAQwAABtbnRyUkdCIFhZWiAAAAAAAAAAAA...../VPYkjH8kT+F9yJEjcwBa5+NS/vpfUliRIkbnp//9k=\"></p><p><br></p><p>this is test</p>"
But the img tag I see on Mnadrill has no src attribute. Is there something I am missing or does Mandrill does not support such images? TIA
