Is there a lisp script to automatically "correct" accents into iso ones?
When copy pasting fragments of text with accents from an email or from a pdf, I often end up with various accents encodings into the same document, which cause a warning when saving the documents, various problems when reloading the document, and errors when compiling a latex document or emailing a text with such encodings.
Ironically, the miscoded characters are often CORRECTLY displayed: a "á" is correctly displayed by emacs, but incorrectly compiled by LaTeX. Deleting it and typing it manually solves the problem. I could make a collection of search and replace commands to automatize the process, or even make a list of such corrections, but I assume that there should be a more elegant solution?
