'IBM Watson - why do I get a 520 response?

We have been sending jobs to IBM watson but in the last few days we have seen a surge in requests returning with a HTTP status code of 520. The watson instance is running on IBM cloud.

From reading around it looks like this is a response from CloudFlare that can happen following an unknown error. When this happens we aren't seeing any job run in Watson.

Just wondering if anyone else had had this issue or any suggestions on how we can resolve this? We have tried raising a support ticket for this but as of yet we haven't managed to get to the bottom of it.
