'How to parallel develop new wordpress site using the same domain as an existing 3rd party selz.com subdomain site using dns redirect
So, i have a an existing domain which i own, i have this redirecting to 3rd party hosted ecommerce (selz.com) subdomain for my ecommerce website (it did used to fully resolve to my domain name) before i tried to start building a new wordpress site using the domain that i own.
Anyway, my issue is i want to build the new wordpress website on the domain i own, but still have traffic routing to the selz.com subdomain site until the wordpress site is up and finished and ready to receive all traffic.
Can anyone say which is the best way to approach this as finding it difficult to find much information on the subject. When i've got the redirect on it means i can't develop the wordpress site, when i've got the redirect off i can but then my in progress site is open to the world and i want to keep things routed to the selz site until ready.
The host i am using for the new wordpress site is interserver basic plan, the dns registrar host is namecheap, the old 3rd party site is on selz.com
