'How to have Automatic Notifications with APi being updated
So im new to android and kotlin but im required to enable push notifications with an android app that relies heavily on api's, the notification will be triggered as the api gets updated by users, weather conditions etc. So I have seen that notifications are usually built with firebase cloud messaging but I'm still a bit unsure how can this work with an Api being updated (the notifications I mean) as in how can this happen without it always being manually triggered, I have not tried using firebase yet but would just like to be in the right direction before I start implementing. Can someone give me a bit on guidance on this.
