'How does iOS browsers check internet connection?
We have a Wi-Fi modem at an event and want guests to connect to it to be able to reach our web app. We restricted access in the router to only our web app url.
In iOS though, it shows a pop up saying
The Wi-Fi network doesn’t appear to be connected to the internet. Do you want to temporarily use cellular data?
To avoid this pop up, I would like to know how does this browser, or the iOS itself is checking if it is connected to the internet. If it’s checking access to a specific location, I can then add it to the allowed urls in the router and should be fine.
Do you know how it is checking the presence of internet connection?
