Font Awesome don't work on external website on chrome

Question

Like a lot of people I am using internet, and i noticed a lot of website if was using suddenly had character change into something i didn't recognized.

After digging a bit i found out that all the characters came from the thing called "Font awesome", but i don't understand what is not working.

For some reason it only does that on chrome.

I tried to download and install the font itself, didn't worked.
