'Critical error during initialization: null

I work as a offensive security laboratory in a college. I've been order to analize possible vulnerabilities in a plataform. So i decide to use nexpose. I download it and install it; start up the server. When i Login, the server return me the following message:

  Critical error during initialization: null

It is possible that it has to do with the postgresql database that didn't worked well.

If someone could help me would be fine
