'Could not find the task 'C/C++: g++.exe build active file'

I am trying to run and debug a c++ program. When I press run and debug in Visual Studio Code it spits out

"Could not find the task 'C/C++: g++.exe build active file'."

I have installed MinGW in my C: folder and installed Code Runner in Visual Studio Code.
