'Automatically rename folder from new items with file name
Wondered if anyone could help, I've bene scouring the net and can't seem to find anything which does the job as I need. Please bear in mind I'm only partially script/automator savvy!
What I need:
I have a folder with a LOT of old jpegs of artwork. For example:
Shoplifter 1.jpg
Shoplifter 2.jpg
Shoplifter 3.jpg
Auto1.jpg
Auto2.jpg etc
I want to manually select a group of files from said folder (so I can curate as I go), right click (or run script) and create a new folder from those selected items AND name the folder after either the name of the first file in the selection or perhaps part of the name minus the number at the end.
A lot of scripts I've found seem to put every file into it's own folder - that's no good to me.
Hope someone can help!
