'Automatically backup the files to a local machine (from a remote server)
I am working with a client who own a road construction company. He is working on the the various road projects all across the India. We have made a software which is used to weigh the trucks which brings building materials to him and our software sends CCTV footage to our server too. You can guess that this number is in 1000's of trucks per day. This data is very large especially due to photos/videos of those trucks.
So we started deleting the older truck details, but he needed it for his records for long period of time(approximately 2 years) but its very expensive to have such a large chunk of cloud space.
That is why we were manually copying the old data of the trucks and moving to a hard drive provided by him through Filezilla.
Here's the final verdict:-
- He has given us now fast Linux machines, which he wants to set up in his office
- He can run those machines 24x7
- We want to copy data automatically to those machines
and we need your help to do so. I am so confused to do it.... like
- How will I access that as
ipof the machines as it changes periodically. I might not be able to usesshandscp. - How will I automatically run the script which copies to their machines
and many more
