'Apache LDAP authentication (not Basic Auth)

Our security team has blocked basic authentication in all of our browsers. Apache currently doesn't support the LDAP provider using Digest auth.

What other options are available for me to authenticate my Apache users via LDAP? Apache only seems to natively support those two authentication types.
