'Word - How to know which add-ins are disabled when launched in safe mode
I am facing a situation where the dll injection for my COM based component is working fine when Microsoft Word (2016) is launched either using winword /safe or winword /a, however, the same is not working (cursor starts to jump across the windows when I have multiple instances of word opened) when launched in normal mode.
Based on this I know I would need to narrow down on a specific add-in or template which might be causing this issue. However, nothing seems to be working and all I know is that the problem goes away if I use the /safe or /a switch to launch word.
As per this
/a Starts Word and prevents add-ins and global templates (including the Normal template) from being loaded automatically. The /a switch also locks the setting files.
However, I would like to know if there's another way of narrowing down on which specific ones are loaded and which aren't since this is not of much help at the moment.
Other things I have tried so far -
- Going through the Windows Event Viewer logs
- Going through the Diagnostic Data Viewer
So far without any luck.
