'What's a global page on x86 paging? [duplicate]
The Page table has a G bit indicating whether the page is global or not. From what I gathered so far it seems that if this bit is set TLB entries will not be flushed upon a change of the CR3 register, but why is this useful, can someone please elaborate on this?
