'Visual Studio 2017 is freezing while opening vcxproj from mapped drive
We currently have Visual Studio 2017 installed on a Windows server 2012 machine. We have mapped drives on the network where we do our development in our local area. The mapped drive is a fileshare to a UNIX server. We are able to open a single file from that same drive but when opening a .vcxproj to open the project, Visual Studio 2017 gives the Security Warning about opening projects from a trustworthy source and once we click OK, Visual Studio freezes and hangs. There is nothing you can do besides kill Visual Studio from the task manger. We have done many searches and tried different suggestions, for example, changing the permission of .vs folder as 777. But nothing has resolved our issue. Any help is very much appreciated.
