'Reason behind very high electrical potential in contacts in ANSYS APDL?
I am running a couple field analysis (electro-thermal) on a PCB. I want to know, what could be the reason behind very high electric potential in the contacts and target elements? In the parts of a structure where I haven’t user contacts, the resulting electric potential is what I expected. But in contacts and target elements it’s with very high order ranging from 1E-12 to 3E14.
I have used following element types:
ET,12,170 !3D target elements
ET,13,174,,2,,2 !Quad 3D contact elements
KEYOPT,13,12,5 !always bonded
KEYOPT,13,1,3 !DoF KEYOPT(1) = 3; Ux, Uy, Uz, TEMP, VOLT
Thank you in advance! Looking forward to some helpful replies.
