'Quicker way to test Play Asset Delivery?

We have just started using Play Asset Delivery to serve up some 200MB worth of essential files. From what I understand, there really are just two ways to test an app that uses Play Asset Delivery:

  1. To test locally as given on the Android docs.
  2. To upload the entire bundle to the PlayStore internal app sharing feature and get folks to test from there.

The steps involved in both have increased our testing cycles considerably. Is there a shorter way of doing this? Say build and download from an external server? Or any other methods/best practices folks here might be using to reduce QA cycle times?
