Power Bi: Filter until date, month by month

Question

I want to make a "month by month" filter but if I use the date hierarchy I can see the situation only in that month and not until that month.

I can use a date filter using "Before" but in this way, I can discretize only day by day and not month by month.

I'll explain better: I want to know who sold more products so far: I make a chart ordering by "Product sales" and I take the first one. If I want to know who was the first last month I can use this filter 

and I see what happened until the selected date.

This works but I don't like it because it goes day by day and I would like it month by month.

How can it be possible?
