'OpenMPI installation issue on Ubuntu 20.04 - gcc version 9.4.0

Has someone come across this error ? While following some of the existing proposed instructions for OpenMPI installation, when I run configure command after a lot of checks it stops with an error, these are the last lines that give some info about it.
