'MIP SDK - user defined protection. Not working for "edit" but works for "view"
Using the MIP SDK with user defined protections, i.e., not using labels. These are files stored in BLOB containers for which we need to assign UDP at download.
I am running from a work tenant and assign protection descriptors for users not in the same work tenant. I am testing an Excel document to assign the UDP, and I am authenticated in Excel as the user who is being assigned the permissions. That user is not in the work tenant, i.e., it's an external user.
When I set the protection to "view", it works great for an XLSX doc. When I set the protection to "edit", Excel cannot open the document and wants me to add an account. I'm already logged in with the assigned user creds that worked fine for the "view" scenario.
Thoughts?
