'Mapbox studio - country labels not displaying consistently

I'm creating a custom style in mapbox studio

I am having issues with labels for the country-label abbr

At the zoom level 2, labels display ok

But as zoom 1.40 (the way I want to map to display), some labels diplay (eg USA) but some dont (eg France, Spain)

I'm not sure where I change the setting? and dont understand as all come from the same label layer (country label)
