'Make a connector compatible with Direct Query in Power BI
I am searching information about power BI direct query feature. Right now I've develop a connector to our database system (based on trino api)
I wan't to enable the ability of querying it with the "direct query" mode of Power BI. I've read it is possible only with an ODBC plugin.
My point is that there is no odbc driver integrated with PowerBI for Trino. That wan't to say that we can not do it? Did I always need an odbc driver installed locally? And if I have it can I develop a connector with it to have a fully integrated connector? With UI for go through tables ect.? Last question, can we mix odbc connection with an oauth authentication or with that mode user/password is mandatory?
