'How to have a consistent running head in Bookdown when using tufte-latex?

It seems that bookdown running head is inconsistent when using tufte PDF. Precisely, it is ALWAYS in lower case, as illustred below. error

How can I fix this issue? I think somewhere the code is turning the title in lowercase when passing the parameter to the template. Steps to reproduce:

  1. Checkout bookdown-demo
  2. Switch output to tufte
