'How much storage capacity is possible in a Synology 4-bay NAS?

I've searched the net, but can't find out how much actual usable storage capacity I'd be able to get (with some given disk failure protection) from a DS920+ 16TB 4 Bay NAS with 4 x 4TB Drives! Apologies if that's because it's such a dumb question. I currently have a DS220+ 8TB 2 Bay with 2 x 4TB Drives and it gives me .. 4TB! Fair enough. But I can't believe I'll only get 4TB still, with double the number of disks. But I won't get 16TB either, obviously, so it must be somewhere in the middle!

You might want to check out their storage calculator https://www.synology.com/en-us/support/RAID_calculator

The answer is for a 4x4TB setup: Anything between 4 and 16TB, depending on your chosen Raid config.

I´d choose SHR1 which gives you 12TB storage with 1 drive redundancy
