'How can I convert string "0000" to integer in PDI?

I'm trying to create a Time Dimension in my PDI, but whenever I try to convert the smart_key of time 0000 it returns error that it can't convert 0000 to integer. I tried convert date -> string -> int (returns the error above) tried date->string (returns a different value). I'm using the select values step to convert datatypes.
