'Getting a Custom Domain Name for my Heroku app
I am successfully hosting my dymanic website on heroku.com at the url example.herokuapp.com, however I want to host it on my custom domain example.com which I bought from GoDaddy.com
The documentation from heroku requires the use of ALIAS and ANAME dns records, which GoDaddy does not support. And the documentation from GoDaddy says it requires an A record with the IP-address of the hosting service which heroku does not provide.
Despite of this, every person, every video, every article, literally everyone recommends the use of Heroku which leaves me confused? Surely it must be possible to host a app with a custom domain on heroku? Does anyone know how I do this? What must my dns records look like? Any help that points me in the right direction is appriciated. Or atleast what other options do I have as using heroku is not a requirement for me?
