Disable ads from admob

Question

Yesterday my app was removed from the Play Console for showing adult ads to a younger audience, my solution was to change the target audience in the Play Console to 18+. I sent the update but as we all know Play Console takes time to review your update. So this morning I received a "Policy warnings" notification (Now in Admob) when I go to the policy center I find this problem: Play App Disabled.

I understand the problem perfectly, I understand that it is necessary to have the Admob application linked to the Play Store.

So my question is what should I do if the status of my application is (in review)? Is there a way to (temporarily) disable ads specifically for the problem app on my own? The last thing I want is for Admob to consider me as a violation for not having the application linked to the Play Store.
