While defining the following symbol in LateXenter image description here $\frac{\kern .3em a\kern .3em \tv height 8pt depth 5pt}{\tv height 12pt depth 0pt\kern .3em b\kern .3em}$ I obtain a polyhedral line with a little space between two consecutive segment. How can I get a continuous polyhedral line?
