Can I insert a chart on a ipyleaflet map?

Question

I am busy trying to develop a tool that can be used to view the results of a water quality model. Ideally, the tool should be viewable online, hense the choice of ipyleaflet. The tool should display the node-link structure of the model that is georeferenced against a map, hense the choice of ipyleaflet. I would also like the user to view timeseries model results by clicking on nodes of interest. This is where I am getting unstuck in ipyleaflet. I have been searching for ages, but I cannot see how one would insert a chart somewhere on the same view/page as the map in ipyleaflet. If anyone can tell me if this is possible and which libraries to use in Python, I would be grateful.
