'Can avconvert use .png images as source?

I want to generate transparent HEVC video which can be played on safari.

I am using the command to convert transparent vp9 video to hevc - avconvert --preset PresetHEVC1920x1080WithAlpha --source video.mov --output output.m4v

Is it possible to use .png images as source instead of vp9 video?
