'Automatic Virus Scan and File Transfer

I'm attempting to set up an automatic file transfer solution that scans the files for viruses and then moves them onto a server to be accessed by other machines.

The ultimate goal would be to have a network storage location that is mountable via SMB/NFS etc, which we can drop files to, they then get scanned, and then moved to another location.

I'm a complete amateur when it comes to networking - does anyone have any ideas?
