'Authenticate an EWS application by using OAuth for outlook.com
I have followed the steps from this article OAuth 2.0 client credentials flow. I am able to connect and use the token within same tenant with consent. https://login.microsoftonline.com/<<my_company_tenant_id>>/adminconsent?client_id=c67f6720-3fce-44ee-a9ff-9efd5425186c
I have registered the app for multi-tenant in azure. I am a bit confused on how to approach to get the admin-consent from the domain @outlook.com. Free MS Outlook accounts from http://outlook.live.com/.
- My Tenant email where App is authorized for multitenant : [email protected]
- [email protected] (from which I want to read, create, modify and delete).
Tried the below URL for consent : https://login.microsoftonline.com/f8cdef31-a31e-4b4a-93e4-5f571e91255a/adminconsent?client_id=c67f6720-3fce-44ee-a9ff-9efd5425186c.
Is the tenant id for outlook.com f8cdef31-a31e-4b4a-93e4-5f571e91255a or we have a separate keyword or this is not possible at all?.
Solution 1:[1]
You've created a multi-tenant App Registration, which allows other tenants to add your App Registration in their tenant, as an Enterprise Application.
When another tenant adds your app, it will prompt them for admin consent in their tenant.
Free Outlook accounts ([email protected]) should have their own Azure AD tenant, with a domain as "firstname_lastnameoutlook.onmicrosoft.com", your app will need to register in their tenant
